Urbanic year No. 10 Party Recap
Celebrating 10 years on Abbot Kinney Blvd was a true milestone for us. Over this last decade we have been so appreciative of the love & support of our customers, designers, friends and fans that have journeyed with us along the way. Without all of these very important people we couldn’t be where we are today, so we wanted to host our loveliest party yet …. as a ‘Thank you’ for the 10 years of small business support and also as a ‘Cheers’ to hopefully many more. I couldn’t be more happy to share these beautiful photos with you from our party (shot by Marisa Vitale)
We were so grateful to have such a stellar lineup of sponsors on board. For starts, Gather Events (!!) Sarah and her team are organizational and creative wonders. On top of that, they are absolutely amazing to work with and really helped us pull out aaallll the stops on this one!
We had savory bites from the best in LA – Whoa Nelly Catering, and served them on our favorite paper plates by Harlow & Grey. For treats we served waffle cone ice cream sandwich treats by Tilamook (appropriately called “Tilamookies”). For beverage the The Whaling Club created & served up some tasty cocktails made with fresh ingredients. The signature drinks were titled ‘Sunshine state of mind’ and ‘Walking on Sunshine’ and were a combination of the best pressed juices by Pressed Juicery, (… one mixed with Skyy Vodka + and the other with Bulldog Gin). SO freaking good and Soooo pretty too served in Borrowed Blu glassware!
Party features included: A paper flower making station where guests could craft themselves a wearable accessory while socializing. We also had calligrapher Nicole Miyuki hand lettering guest’s names onto a little paper desk plaques stating ‘The Desk of ___”. Finally, we gave out Urbanic Boxes of Sunshine to 100 lucky guests and even rang a little bell each time someone scored them – which was a big hit.
With all of the flower power happening, we of course had to flower-bomb my car! (which also was the vessel that contained all of the gift boxes). Admittedly I had considered trying to keep the flowers on indefinitely.
There was an amazing turn out of people and we got to celebrate with friends old and new!
The above pic is of the URBANIC GIRLS! Let it be known that without these fine ladies, Urbanic would not be what it is today. Each one of them is so creative, talented, patient, hardworking and absolutely lovely from the inside out.
The party was spectacular in so many ways. The best part overall was beig able to connect and celebrate with so many people that we love. #URBANICFOREVER
